I have an Eko model no 960 and it sounds great. If the price is ok I'd go for it. Does it have these same pickups as mine?

    So what makes you a `Fender Bass` guy...or gal

In 1977, at 13, I first realised there was such a thing as a bass guitar. Having failed BIG trying to learn to play the guitar, hating the way you had to play more than one string at a time, someone said "You should try the bass guitar". Having just discovered The Ramones meant my first bass...

The Official Fender Precision Bass Club (Part 7)

Recently put this together from various Fender parts. Body CIJ, neck, tuners, pickguard, strap buttons MIJ, electronics from a 50´s classic MIM, neckplate aftermarket big F Fender and the pickup is a 1976 original. How´s that for a partsbass? It´s sweet!

Post your pets with basses pictures, Part 2

Thanks, yes she is an odd little cat, a Devon Rex. And she gets pissed from time to time when I choose the bass over her. Then she comes and bites the strings. The strings are Rotosound all nickel rounds. I don´t remembe the exact name but I was after all nickel and tried them out.

    Fender 1977 P-Bass Original caracteristics

To my eye the bass has two different types of tuners. Two pre -76 and two post -76. I'd ask the seller about this too.

    Eko acoustic. Ideas for pickup?

Ok, thanks! I'm leaning towards a soundhole option since I think it might reproduce the "actual" acoustic sound, rather than the sound of the vibrating body/bridge. I don't reallt have the terminology right since I was never interested in electronics before, but I guess you understand.

'61 P Bass - what should I be looking for?

Here's how I see it. The logo, tuners, thumbrest screwholes, case, the rosewood board and the bridge are not 60's. To me the bridge don't even look american made. Still, a nice looker. My all time best p-bass is a refinished -75 w ih a -73 pickguard and -72 pickup. But that's me....

Squier Classic Vibe Club (Part 3)

Could it be that the original ones have a "waist" that centres the string midpost, and the reverse style tuners lets the string go down towards the front of the headstock giving you a better string angle over the saddle? That's my theory!

    AVRI 57 or 62 ...Your preference ?

Faced with the choice I´d...... sell my car and by both. But I think the ´62 weighs a little heavier for me. There´s something about the rosewood I can´t resist.
