How does this compare to say a Yamaha trb? I like the wide thin neck on mine, but have always wanted the Warwick sound. Is the neck more like a wide P bass near nut or narrow and thick? I have played the regular thumb 6s, but didn't like the string spacing.

I'd contact them, it's good karma. Who knows, it may just work out in your advantage seeing that they'd have to pay shipping for your new bass, and return shipping for the 4 string. If they have to eat that much shipping, then maybe it's just better off to leave the deal as it panned out...

Still seems like a great deal in bulk. I would have loved to have caught that. I have one too many basses without a case/bag, and I have some friends in the same predicament.

Been wanting to pull the trigger since last batch came out. I have it in cart, picked out a case.... but now I'm worried about how accessible are the higher frets. How does it feel at the neck heel area? I don't play many bolt-on necks, but I know that I despise fender/squire neck heels.

The serial numbers are usually stamped in the back of the headstock. Are the numbers in the picture written, not stamped? At a glance, looks like a BB800 with a different bridge. As for which to pick, I prefer the 21 frets and reverse P pickups on Yamaha basses over the affinity series basses.

You guys are giving me GAS! I never cared fora P/J bass, seeing as i have the 1500 (active jazz) and the 1200s (active/passive P) BBs..... but I've been looking for something fretless. Anybody ever remove the frets on a yamaha P/J or know if they make one?

TRB 5 +3! The first generation ones are killer. The mid switch can let you go from thumpy reggae, to a nice punchy slap tone, to that nasal jaco sound all with the flip of the switch. Tweak it however you see fit, but it will work across various styles. The bass itself is a workhorse.

Invite more or said "Floppy Blonde" to your gigs. It's win/win for your case scenario.

Yes.... yes it is! I haven't looked in the for sale thread because of GAS... and now you show me this!? I love Japanese basses, and green basses, and pointy basses... and hollowbodies.... You sir, have brought so much joy. :hyper:

I prefer my basses in the 10+ lbs range, but I do have 2 under 10lb basses that I use as a backup. I use a wide strap to help distribute the weight tho.

I've been saying this since day one. A wide spacing (19mm) SB 6 string would be exactly what I'm currently looking for. The piggybank is filling up for a x-mas SB5000 if the 6er never comes to fruition.

Stick with the BB. They are players through and through. The RBX looks and feels a bit "modern" to me. I do like them, but not enough to buy one even for backup purposes.

I personally love active basses. I just like that cleaner Hi-fi for the most part. That Audere pre sounds real clean for chords, but yeah he does have the high rolled up just a tad too much... For me, personally I'd dig either the Audere or my Yamaha BB1500 (same as trb4 I believe) preamp in one...

Looks nice. What's the string spacing and weight if you know? Also interested in the electronics as I didn't see a battery compartment. Looks nice, I totally dig green 6 strings.

My TRB is in BEADGC, my SR 506 is EADGBE and occasionally EADGCF.
