Ref warranty and strings ... I was under the impression that any brand of strings (other than factory originals) will void the warranty if you send the bass back for any warranty work. So follow Thiocyclist's advice about the original strings.

As far as I know, Dale is in Oregon ..... I believe that's where Collin W recently received his 60s F-Hole repair/refinish from, a few months back. Dale apparently posts on some other Gear Forums.... Here is his Facebook link, which indicates Aloha, Oregon...
