Embrace being in the dark and use it as an opportunity to learn. Not like getting in the way learning but pay attention to what is going on. You then will learn how things work and what works for you. If I would give advice I'd say be prepared on your parts, make sure your gear is at 100%...

There is a magic potion. It is called "practice" and it is not cheap and must be taken daily, sometimes 3 or 4 times a day. I don't mean to be flippant about it. I am just saying that there is no shortcut to playing an instrument and song proficiently.

I think the understanding of what is needed vs what is wanted has been blurred. Patience is the problem here. Everyone else in the world waits and saves for what they "want".
