    I just bought a 2010 BB414 in great shape... I will get into the pots as they are a little scratchy... in 2026 I paid $205 -- not bad. I am loving the feel of it so far..!!

    knowing that EACH screw was a pole piece I now wonder how true to this design the MAXON version was..?? I love the idea that all these FUGIGEN and MOSTSUMOKU product - cheaper and ready to sell - ARE NOW so damm collectible... I love this endeavor/ passion/ interest... and LIFE...

    I am very interested in these pickups... I have a '76 Ibanez (lawsuit era copy LOL) of the '74 era Tele Bass. It has the Maxon version of the Seth Love Wide-Range pickup... So what do we see..??? we se what looks like an enclosed SPLIT COIL humbucker... I do not know... I have not seen one...

    I need to understand more about those pickups. They seem to be SPLIT COIL (like Pbasses) but are enclosed... Are they HUMBUCKERS..? or Split Single Coil..? or something different. Thanks for your thoughts.

    I bought my '80 Greco PB450 (from a chap who needed the money) for $350 3 yrs ago. I had to pick it up from the shop where it was on consignment... for $750. So - deals can be had... you gotta find 'em. I bought my '76 Ibanez 2353L-DX (approx '72 TeleBass copy) in 1979 for $95

    Japan was cheap - sure, but they developed QUALITY CONTROL that was on parr and even surpassed American QC. THAT is why they are inviable and collectable. Korean, Chinese, Mexican, Indonesian... its all about the QC.
