I have a older bc rich eagle and just trying to date it has passive pickups I believe they might be old dimarzio pickups bc rich used to use back in the late 80's although I could be wrong wondering if anybody had a better idea.

I have his book and he says all he used on deathcrush was his HH head that had a sustain button that would make it sound distorted and when they recorded DMDS varg borrowed the head to use for the album because of the tone.

I haven't used a TH500 but have a peavey minimax I use on a Marshall 4x10 and it takes pedals quite well.

Depending on your feelings about peavey I'd suggest the minimax and a 4x10 my drummer plays super aggressive when we blast beat and we were playing in dropA as well, I use a Marshall MBC410 cab that I got for 70 bucks used, and a new minimax head for 300 Canadian during a sale. Even if I had to...
