I've got a Boss chorus pedal that sounds great but I have never liked the Boss style hinge footswitch design. Has anyone ever switched out a Boss enclosure for the newer style pedals and switch?

The problem with that is that lemmy played chords and rythym that sounded more like a guitar. but he did not play leads. I'm thinking this sound would need to be more highs to cut through the rythyms. I've got the rythms down but the solos have to cut through like a knife.

Ive owned two LX 5s and they wre my favorite basses by far. Balanced perfectly and what a tone. I did put flats on both of mine to get a more smooth tone and they worked perfectly. Ive sold them both now and regret it everyday but at the time needed other stuff. I like Yamaha basses as well...
