I always thought the Schecter Michael Anthony bass looked pretty cool. Never played one though.

Pulled the preamp out of my Yamaha BB615 because I didn't like it. Converted it to passive with a volume+tone+pickup switch. Much better now. Before and after pics. Plugged the extra pot holes with some car trim push pin things. Fit perfectly.

If you like the way it's strung now, just loosen the old string and stretch it out. See how far it goes. :)

My fix for this was to use a set of balanced tension strings with a slightly heavier E string. Currently using D'Addario EXL170BT.

That's so weird that it's actually kind of cool.

This has been my solution. Move the strap button. I think manufacturers like to put the button at the center because aesthetically that's where it looks like it belongs, but that's not always the best for balance. I solved the neck dive on my Thunderbird by relocating both strap buttons.

At least the D'addario ones add some color to the mix. :)

I put a zero-mod thumbrest on my Ray34. It was a little too tall for my liking so I filed it down to be about the same height as the pickup. Now it's perfect for me.
