It seems to me that you're very bothered by counterfeit basses. Am I right?
Yup.
You're not alone in your opinion. Lots of people seem to share it.
That's good; at least I'm not alone.
But I don't understand why. Why do you care? You don't work for Fodera.
This has been explained in other fake/replica/counterfeit/tribute/knock-off threads before. To try and explain
why further is useless if you haven't understood why us "anti-counterfeit bass" guys feel the way we do by now. I care because these pieces of **** represent thievery, plain and simple. No, I don't work for Fodera, nor do I own a Fodera. I respect what they've built in their company, product and reputation. Every fake/replica/counterfeit/tribute/knock-off piece of **** coming out of China insults Fodera's efforts.
Maybe you'd feel differently is someone in China was copying
your hard work? And it's always the same arguments from the pro-counterfiet folks:
"But...But...No one who's gonna buy a real Fodera would by one of these anyway!"
"But...But...People do it with Fender!"
Same tired comparisons and excuses. And their totally irrelevant.
You don't have to buy one.
Correct again. I won't.
Why are you so bothered by people who have or want one?
Because they are perpetuating these practices with their purchase; creating a demand for these thieves to make more of off these fake/replica/counterfeit/tribute/knock-off pieces of ****.
Meh. Maybe I'm just on a moral high horse and completely wrong.
