105Q

Otherwise, there is active circuitry it is going through. and that will have, if nothing else but infitessimal, a difference.

And that "infinitesimal difference" can't be heard by most people, and I'm going to go ahead and say it can't be heard 100% of the time by anyone in any sort of band situation...

Personally, if it's a decent buffered bypass or true bypass, I don't really care. Nobody's going to be able to tell, anyway :)

Well if that works for you, killer! Definitely not a bad pedal.

I recently picked up a 105Q wah second hand. It's heaps of fun and sounds great but drastically alters my tone when it's not being used; stays on when it's rocked right back. I have a feeling that it's an older model as it doesn't have the trim pots on the inside. So, do the newer ones suck tone when your foot's not on them? Thanks for any help

I have an older model as well. You actually need to switch it off rocking it completely forward again (this sucks I know). You have two choices, either deal with it or take it out and get a different one...or different brand.

That's the one...any tech worth his salt could fix it.

Maybe not so easy?

edit: I guess in that thread they were not actually debating how the 105Q switch is designed, but rather how "that kind of switch" can be designed. Still, there are no posted schematics for the 105Q, and none of the other threads there on the 105Q had helpful info regarding that switch.

So there's a switch on the heel? So when the "heel" of the pedal pushes down on the switch it would be open. I just looked at mine and if that's the one it doesn't look line any type of special part. I would take it apart and ohm it out- if this is the case that would be a starting point.
