1200W Forte HP

Just wanted to quickly note that a new firmware update was sent out today to all forte' HP registered owners. We warmed up the drive circuit a bit, but also gradually mixed in our fuzz circuit as you go past 12:00 on the Drive knob to all out fuzz when you get past 3:00. If you have a forte' HP amp and didn't receive this update, please make sure you visit our website and register your amp.

Hope you enjoy it!
Jim

Jim, thanks. I am not a big fuzz guy, but it sure is fun! I like a little bit of grit at times, but to have options with one knob is awesome!

I have to say it is super cool that we live in an age where after a new bass amplifier product is introduced the designer can (and in this case does) interact with the user community to literally refine and mature the product's features and usability in real time. This is especially appealing in my mind since the original version of every Bergantino product I've ever played is a pretty stellar offering right out of the box! :)

Agreed !! Customer service is very important to me with any equipment I buy and use...

Nice rigs! One thing to remember for forté HP especially when comparing them to the B|Amp, remember the HP has a very sloooow taper on the master to deal with all that horsepower under the hood.
That’s the one thing I remember when I brought mine home, the gain and master was different from most amps.

Would love to hear impressions of your Barefaced cabs with the Berg heads.

well, my B-amp with my Berg cabs are my “reference”, in large part thanks to the speaker profile function. It gives what I consider to be “studio quality” and really allows me to hear the different voices of my instruments, as well as all my technical failings LOL.
But most of the time on the gigs I play, these qualities don’t necessarily translate on stage.
My Barefaced cabs work really well on stage, sitting nicely in the mix, and have a bit more volume capability for their size.

Good to hear. I had the master swapped out on another manufacturer's amp due to overly aggressive ramp up in volume. Yes, implying insane maximum volume and gaming the Fletcher-Munson curve help to sell, but designing a master based on those has little practical use in an amp. IMVHO, anyway.
