If the A4's are anything like my Qi's with ADEL's added, I would chose the A4's - if you plan to use them playing bass.

FWIW - I received an email from 1964 today - stating that the remaining V-series are being discontinued at the end of April 2016, because of sales drop off and the demand for the A-series.

I don't believe my "issues" with the A8's are the fault of the A8's - but more user education. I have over 400 hrs use on my Qi's in 2015 gigs alone (not counting flights and church use) and have had them for 2.5 yrs.. so I'm VERY familiar with their sound signature. The A8's are simply "different" and I'm working on learning what works for me as I've never had a set of ADEL's before.
There's an ADEL thread over at headfi.org - lots of good audiophile commentary over there..

I also am coming from Qis, which I love. I notice after many hours of practice that there is no fatigue when removing the ADELs. I have a full monitor (PRO 6) board and engineer, so I should be able to adjust as needed. I haven't had a chance to play live with them yet.

There's a few musicians on that thread, but not many. Yes, they get into esoteric discussions that have no bearing on live audio.. but it IS a good sounding board and vendors DO participate. :)
My A8's sound GREAT on "canned" music of all varieties, with no fatigue...
I'm still working thru live monitoring..

I agree, canned music sounds amazing. I am very impressed with the fit compared to my Qis. I usually have to fiddle with the Qis to get a good seal. The A12s insert so easily and are very comfortable. Like you said, you can feel the weight difference. I think live sound is just tweaking. The artist interviews that 64 audio has on YouTube seems to show how thrilled they all are with the A series IEMs.

I spoke with Alex, who had to get someone to reset the code. I placed the order for some A8's and have an appointment with an audiologist to make my impressions next Friday. I'm guessing I'll have them in hand by end of May/early June if the est 3 week build time holds. Can't wait :)

A8 UPDATE #2:

Used my A8's again last night (4x45 min sets) without the REV33 in line.
I had to bump up my bass levels a little - and adjust other IEM mix levels to compensate for the boost.
PLENTY of bass in my ears!

By the 4th set tho, I was noticing that I was hearing less bass.. but everything else was still AWESOMELY crystal clear in the A8's.

I spent some time earlier this week with the REV33 tech folks (thanks guys!) and they believe this "might" be due to my version of ear fatigue - as that can affect folks differently. Definitely no ringing in the ears tho'. The jury is STILL out on the root cause of my [perceived?] loss of bass..l that is all I'm trying to understand here.

So.. at tonight's gig (different venue) I'm going to put the REV33 in-line and observe the outcomes.
This is all about protecting my hearing, so I hope folks find this useful.

Well folks.. that didn't happen... the gig did.. but given the size of the venue (outdoors at the back of a restaurant - see pic), the number of expected attendees, the sub-drummer (who didn't feel he needed to mic the kick - which turned out to be just fine) it was decided that we wouldn't mic everything and went with wedges and no IEM's. Kinda hard to play bass with no kick in the IEM's.. so...
Next weekend, I will try this out..

Apologies for the bad pic - but this was the only one of the gig that saved to my SD card..

Apologies if this answer is all over TB, but I haven't been able to find it yet. Two of us in a band of four have moved (or are in the process of moving) to the ADEL series. I'm going with the A4s and our guitarist has the A3s. My question is: is there a wireless transmitter that can feed us our own mixes? That is one transmitter sending two distinct mixes to two different body packs for two different musicians. Thanks for any help!!

The short answer is, it depends. If you WANT stereo IEM mixes, you'll a) need enough 4 AUX feeds (busses) to send L/R feeds to each transmitter or b) can use ONE transmitter and 2 receivers and each get a MONO mix using 2 AUX's - one for each side.
If you plan on playing elsewhere then I recommend your own stereo mix and transmitter. No arguments over ownership/split etc.
PSM 200 or 300, Carvin EM900 are decent starters.

Any two channel wireless transmitter that has the ability to pan left/right on the receiver can do what you're wanting - You can send mix 1 to the left and mix 2 to the right inputs of the transmitter, and pan your receivers accordingly. Both receivers will need to be tuned to the frequency band of the transmitter, and depending on the receiver, you should be able to set it up to be mono so that the signal goes to both buds regardless of the panning. I know the Audio Technica M2 and M3 have this capability.
