I did exclusively use the Qi's for close to 2.5 yrs.. so I'm VERY USED to them and what I can get/expect from them.

I think my whole quandry is over the difference the ADEL's make to the LIVE stage mix.. they are more open and less-isolating than the Qi's, and I can hear more ambient noise - aircraft engine noise on the plane, FOH stacks, cymbals, etc. If I put my finger over the ADEL's [and negate their effect] then they sound more like the Qi's I'm used to. It's the overall blend I'm adjusting to.
The A8's sound AWESOME on canned music, I think I need time to adjust to the differences between them and the "closed ear" bass I got with the Qi's.

Can you highlight what the sound levels were that he raised/modulated? Either frequencies or pure instrument levels? Be curious to know what some of the adjustmets were.

idk.. I did not monitor what he physically changed on the board... I just play bass anymore.
It was all done via iPad from FOH.. but sounded real good.
I'm assuming HP filters, shelving EQ, carving out the bass/kick in the mix.
I can check what he did in a couple of weeks - we're off the next 2 weekends - as the console is at the BL's house, 60 miles away.

Mine was 4-5 when submitted, then dropped to 3, and took about 4.. so ...hang in there. :roflmao:

As I await my A4s, I'm assembling the rest of my new rig. Has anyone ever run an Aviom 360 into a Sennheiser G3? I can't entirely figure out what cable to get to connect the two. I thought it was a little odd that there's not a single stereo input on the wireless unit. Any help would be appreciated!!

if you want stereo, you need one of the items below.
If mono is OK, go XLR out on 360 to LEFT input on G3, set receiver to mono.

You'll need a 1/4" TRS to dual XLR "Y" cable...

I went to a WFX Reach Conference this past weekend. This was a very very small version of the WFX (Worship Facilities Expo) Conference. I talked to a lot of people about my A4's. I was surprised by the number of people who have never really heard of 64 Audio. So I educated them a little and directed them to the 64 Audio website to learn more.

Rev33 usage update. I used my Rev33 on an outdoor gig, and let my drummer use it for a set too. He actually noticed an improvement, which is huge because he can't really tell a lot of difference between various mic's. Everything felt a bit cleaner, and more separated. I was skeptical after listening all week to my personal audio through the Rev33 and not really discerning anything if difference. It definitely made itself apparent in a live situation.

I can't say my ears were less fatigued, because I've never had that problem with my Qi's, even after a 3hr gig. But it was notably "cleaner".

Anyone using a Rev33 with something like the PreservEar limiter?

I really like the Rev33 and also would like some sort of limiting protection as well.

Seems as if it might be OK, but it's difficult to guess whether or not devices will play well together.

idk, but my G3 receiver has a built-in [adjustable] limiter, and I can put a brick-wall limiter on our X32's output buss - so I think I'm covered.
Most wireless body packs have built-in limiters.. and the Behringer P16M station does.. not sure about the newer Avioms.
If you are wired, then sure..you need a limiter in-line somewhere in the chain...
They probably should play OK together - but I would consider putting the limiter ahead of the REV33... ??

Finally got to (briefly) test out my new A4s with the Senn G3. It was just me in the studio so can't wait to see what it sounds like with the rest of the band, but it was pretty exciting to hear such a pure tone from my bass. Housekeeping question for this group: I'm trying to figure out a good way to house my personal mixer, maybe my receiver, some cables, etc. in my rack. Curious to see what kind of shelves/drawers others have used. I'll want something that I can access during a show. Any photos of the shelf/drawer setups? Thanks!

What are you doing now ?
My wireless xmitter is housed in the main rack - along with the other wireless units - in and outbound.
My personal mixer (android running X32-Q app) sits on top of the two "rack bags" that house my G90 wireless and SVt7-Pro amp. Both sit on top of my vertical Avatar Neo 2x10 cab.

I'm going to rack my wireless unit (this is the firm move to IEMs) and I was hoping to put my mixer (aviom 360) into a shelf or drawer

When I was "wired" from the console, but wireless IEM's... feeds went via CAT5 to Behringer P16M, then 2 short cables from L/R out to my wireless unit. They were stacked on top of the amp and velcro'ed together. That was with my last band. I didn't rack mount or table/tray them.. as it wasn't much hassle with the velcro.. the only disconnect was power and CAT5 - the rest remained and went into a bag.
Echoes of your setup.. .but no racks involved.
