1968 fender precision bass

neck pocket.jpg

hi

Neck: Large C logo => 1968 or younger, tuners are period correct.

Serial number on neckplate: 230891 => 1968 numbers ranged from roughly 213000 to 252000

Body:

the router hump in the lower horn

 Yep! The shadow shows it nicely.

The tug bar holes under the G string are also correct.

Although the pups have been changed :( (Di Marzio or Ibanez?)

it looks like the ground shield under the pups survived the mod. :)

So did the pots! These are "overstocked" CTS pots from 1966 (found very often on '68 Fenders)

The cap also looks original (yellow 80-20 D 0.5 50V)

Any imput if this is a fender body?

It looks like it!
