It's been a week this day since the band's 1st official show. I'm still get exuberant thinking about it. I'm just over the 2yr anniversary of buying my 1st bass (thank you 30th-onset-of-midlife-crisis-birthday). I really didn't even play the bass but for a few hours before the first practice with the band in May of last year. Long story short. The show went MUCH better than expected, it wasn't perfect, but it was a mile away from being a train wreck. The crowd really enjoyed the music (not so much the stage show, 3 of our 4 members never played an formal live gig). I wanted to thank all you TB'ers from the bottom of my heard (yes, even the ones that have flamed me for no reason, or slammed me for my ignorance :spit: ). If it wouldn't been for you fine (and not so fine) folks here on TB I would have never EVER pulled that show off as nearly as well as I did. So from the bottom of my low end heart.

THANK YOU!!!!!

A bit of a late congrats .... funny that your bass crisis hit on your 30th - mine hit this year (my 33rd). I played bass in high school, but hadn't touched one in 15+ years.

Again, congrats ... hope to do my own show with a band some point soon.
