"all intoxicants, all the time"
*Thank you, kind sir! Most balanced, sensible post between the two recent threads on this subject.
Most welcome!Thank you, kind sir!
I agree.Yeah, it seems like sometimes any attempt at a reasoning, non-polarized viewpoint is seen as extreme, anyway. If I don't get 100% on board that "all intoxicants, all the time" train, I'm some sort of puritanical narc.
Uh, no. I just don't think every situation is appropriate for a good ol' drunk-n-high. If it impairs my performance or that of someone I'm working with, THAT is what I have a problem with. Not the substance itself, or its use in other situations.
There was a recent report about the glut of weed in Oregon.Speaking of DABS.... For the uninitiated, this a concentrate vaporized in the red-hot bowl of a water pipe. Potency varies, but a dab can easily equal half a joint or more.
There is a pot shop a block from me (since burned down) that served dabs (not in accordance with local law) and cowboys would stroll in, have six dabs (the equivalent of three or four joints, and within ten minutes) and then return outside to pilot their cars in the heavy L.A. traffic. LOT of stoned drivers in L.A. Driving here in the afternoon around quitting time, you see working class guys hitting pipes behind the wheel of their trucks and vans. It's the new Miller Time, and my friend observed that the little film canisters cluttering the gutters here are the new beer can.
Those must be saved film canisters because digital photography has pretty much eliminated the film sales. I saved a drawer full because they are so ... useful. I have seen a new larger silver plastic canister being used by people who buy from the state. (not from then State, just taxed and regulated by the State)the little film canisters cluttering the gutters here are the new beer can.
Besides in the old R&B band I played in, the only way to get a good gig out of our guitarist was to get a Gin & Tonic in him after we set up. Otherwise, stiff as a board, lifeless solos, and an uptight pain...
