2009 NYC GTG Afterparty (pics/vids)

Just got home last night from the NYC. John, you did it again, man--great job! The room, the gear, the food, and the fellowship were all outstanding. I didn't spend as much time trying basses this year (unfortunately, that meant not picking up the Sheridan, BL or Keith basses), but Nino's stuff never fails to impress me.

I tried some other excellent basses, including John's Dingwall (wow!), but I spent more time hanging out and talking with some really cool TBers this year. It was a real pleasure, and I hope everyone makes it back again in 2010--plus many more!:)

I tried to get a shot of each of the basses that were on that long table. I wanted to stand them up, rather than shoot at the odd angle I did, but it would have taken too long to set them up, plus I didn't want any of them to fall over.

A closeup of the bridge. It's a little underexposed, and I should have moved it to eliminate the reflections from the overhead lights. Then again, I didn't have all the time I wanted, and I wasn't in a studio.
