Hell no. He's obsessed with trying to make the US fall in love with hockey.

As for franchises that should move, the Coyotes top the list, along with Columbus and possibly the Predators.

Here's another newsworthy quote from an article I just read ;

"Gary Bettman told reporters on Thursday that the NHL will lock out its players if there is no new collective bargaining agreement by the time the old agreement expires on Sept. 15. "We reiterated to the union that the owners will not play another year under the current agreement," he said."

They don't do too well. The year they won the cup, they had trouble getting people in the seats. I could also see NJ moving to Toronto.

I remember when Washington was in the Cup Finals against Detroit, Detroit had a fleet of busses taking close to 2,000 fans to Landover for the games and there were still seats available for the games.

Maybe Wang could finally give up and move the Islanders up to Toronto.

Phoenix will probably be moved before that arena is finished.

Carolina, Tampa, Florida, New Jersey, Dallas would all be candidates for a move.

So it seems that Shea Weber and the Predators still haven't come to terms on a SPC to include a NTC or NMC for Weber. Weber wants one and Nashville doesn't want to give him one. What does this all mean? Read it all here:

No, he is not going to become a Flyer, but there are ramifications with the lockout looming and a drop dead date of December 1st for signing a contract. Crazy stuff in there about when the NTC/NMC would be able to go into effect and what happens if he gets traded before it goes into effect.

According to the article you cited, the CBA says that the terms of the offer sheet become the principal terms of the Standard Player Contract ("SPC"). The CBA goes on to say that the player and the club shall promptly formalize an SPC, "containing: (i) all the Principal Terms…; and (ii) such additional terms as may be agreed upon between the Restricted Free Agent and the Prior Club." As I read that, if they can't agree upon additional terms, they are nevertheless required to finalize an SPC containing the Principal Terms.

Not trying revers psychology, just stating that no matter what come out of this hold out, he won't be a Flyer, at least for a year. Then he'll probably be sent to hockey Siberia (Columbus) !

And about P.K. Subban... don't know if I could handle that or not. Still up in the air. I seriously don;t think Holmgren is going to make a move for him. He's not worth whatever picks the Flyers would have to give up.

I'm thinking unless some deal drops into Homers lap, he won't make a move now until the trade deadline.
