Yeah, Asham has played for every single Atlantic team now, and was/is teammates with Rupp on the Devils, Pens and Rangers.

He wasn't about to stay around if Suter left. Everyone knew that. it was just a question of where he would sign.
Now the question is if Nashville will match.
I've got to believe Nashville will match. If they don't, they just got their heart ripped out this off season. I'm just sad the Wings didn't think of it.
The articles I read this morning suggest that the Flyers' offer sheet is structured with some up-front money that may make it difficult for Nashville to match.
If they dont match, wont Nashville get a whole hockey sock full of first rounders from Philly for this manoeuver?
Either four first rounders, or two first rounders, a second, and a third.

Will likely be 4 first rounders. But would you rather have Weber, or what will likely be 4 20th something picks? Some of who may not even end up having an NHL career?
Nashville might be hooped for the short term, but having eight first round picks over the next four years ain't all that bad.
But how often do first round picks actually turn into solid NHL players? Especially when you're talking about the 20th something pick of the first round. I'll take the sure thing over the unknown.
