My predictions for first round?
Eastern
Detroit over Boston in 6 - OOPS! Guess I cursed the Wings
Philadelphia over New York in 7 - DANGIT!
Pittsburgh over Columbus in 5 - Right on.
Montreal over Tampa in 5 - Even better.
Western
Chicago over St. Louis in 6 - A game off
Los Angeles over San Jose in 5 - Quite the comeback Kings!
Colorado over Minnesota in 5 - Hmm?
Dallas over Anaheim in 6 - Screwed up again.

So, let's see how I do round 2...

East

Boston over Montreal in 7
New York over Pittsburgh in 6

West

Chicago over Minnesota in 6
Los Angeles over Anaheim in 5

How about Quick's save on Marleau last night? That was crazy awesome. I'm happy for the Kings, but sad for Patrick Marleau. He played for the Seattle Thunderbirds back in the day. I remember going to games and thinking he's good enough to play in the NHL some day. Jarome Iginla was playing in the WHL back then too. Kamloops I believe.

highlights. Just how loud does it get in there? A lot of Sharks fans taking off before the game was over--I thought you stay til the end in playoffs & applaud your team. I guess not.

Quick's .975 SV% was huge. If they keep playing D like that I think they can take the quacks that's all I'll say I don't want to jinx them.

the one that was reviewed? yeah. good work by both goalies last night.

but williams to kope & pearson to toffoli those were just pretty goals.

The Kopitar goal was absolutely disgusting. It passed through their defense AND he deked Niemi out of his jockstraps.

I woke up today feeling happy and relaxed. Wow. Epic.

Did you see the massive Exodus of Sharks fans leaving the stadium after that first empty net goal? Yeah some class and support they have.

Yeah, I know, right? Talk about bandwagoning off like a hurricane. Guarantee that most of them won't even watch Sharks game next season until they make the playoffs. And choke. Again. And the same cycle happens.

I agree with Selta. Perfect. Everyone is already writing off the Habs. They have a lot of depth, speed and even size. We didn't even use Murray, White or Moen in the first round. Those are good guys to have waiting in the wings.

Dear Los Angeles Kings,

I am ashamed of my earlier doubts of the team being swept by the San Jose Chokes. I am so sorry for my stupidity and lack of passion. Forgive me, O, Jonathan Quick and Anze Kopitar, for my misgivings. I will forever be grateful and loving this awesome team because it is one of the best teams in the league and who can forget that we have one of the best defensemen in the league? I am here to express my appreciation of the power of positive thinking. One game at a time, you boys told the media, and it certainly paid off. We humiliated San Jose, now to do the same to Anaheim.

Forgive me, o hockey gods.
