Replacing the GM in Pittsburgh is the dumbest move I've seen in a while. He did his job, they have a amazing line up, Sidney didn't show up and blyz can't pull them together. Blame was put on the wrong guy. I would have fired the coach. Has everything he needs to win and more.

They said that about the Canucks after being swept. You never know whose fault it actually is until you put them with different coaches/players.
Just look at AV and Torts.

As for me...c'mon Kings! Get with the program!

I agree and I don't. Bylsma was given a lot to work with, more than many other teams, but I think he was missing some pieces for playoff success. I see that as more Shero's fault than Bylsma. I'm not sure you can blame Bylsma for not being able to get his players to play roles they were not suited for. Perhaps it is Bylsma's fault too.

I do agree about Crosby. He has successfully flown under the radar for the most part, but I think he needs to be held more accountable. I saw where Mario made the comment about being disappointed in Crosby's post season performance. Then again, this team also seems to be fragile emotionally, as evidenced by reports that Crosby, Malkin, and others were upset at the criticism from Bylsma and the way he pushed the players. I wasn't there, I don't know what was said or how it was said, maybe it was over the line. Maybe it wasn't.

Crosby can't take an ounce of criticism, whether it comes from his teams president or someone else outside the Penguins organization. That's what makes Toews, Giroux, Datsyuk, Zetterberg, etc., such great leaders. They know if they had a bad game and are willing to take criticism for poor performance. Duh. Crosby acts like he never makes a mistake or is untouchable. Surprise! People obviously jumped on his bandwagon during the 2010 and maybe 2014 Winter Olympics but it sure emptied out quickly after two straight playoff eliminations, one being a sweep.

am I allowed to compare Crosby to James? Is that even remotely possible?

You know I love to hate him but I'm actually trying to make a point. Whatever is going on there to me it had to do with the leadership, accountability and motivation. Now whom ever fault it is none of us know. I just don't get blaming the front office for those things. To me it's either coaches, captains or players. Someone is rocking the boat or a few are. But that has to be fixed or separated and they have to try to figure out where they stand. The GM got the players. If I got you the best ingredients but the cook keeps burning the pizza, firing me won't solve the problem. Next week you'll still be selling burnt pizza.

Here's a crazy theory: they didn't play their best for a week. That's all it takes sometimes.

Exactly my point. Pretty good team. Personally I hope the new GM screws this all up and and the whole thing goes down in flames. Lol.

Meanwhile in Philly our GM had made horrible signing after horrible signing and pissed away millions of dollars for those mistakes and we promote him.

If this was one bad week, one time, then I'd tend to agree with you about not needing any major changes. This has been going on five years now. Personally, I think Bylsma should have went down first. Shero I am on the fence about.

Hang on. Wasn't this the team that had double the injury problems than the second most banged up team? And still won their division?
