2013-2014 NHL playoffs thread.

Amazing game 7.

Classy of the Kings to stay behind to salute Teemu Selanne. Man, he had a hard time holding back the tears; so did I. Awesome player. I remember him playing way back in the day and to see him still in the NHL until now...amazing.

When Selanne was asked how he felt about the Kings staying behind to salute him:
"Unbelievable they had so much class. That's what this game is all about."

Lucic could learn a bit of class, eh?
Yes nice of the Kings to stay on the ice.
I had some Selanne & Kariya cards. I gave them to my coworker she loves them both. That duo may hve been something like Gretzky/Kurri if they stayed together.

I disagree--it looks like he put on the breaks too late. Was there a fight after this incident?

No fight...but there should have been a penalty shot.

NYR has one helluva goaltender and the spirit of France St. Louis is watching over them. Martin St. Louis has some crazy extra boost that motivates him to play better than best....I don't know what it is, but it's good news for New York; bad news for the Habs.

I only caught the 3rd period of NY-MON - what the heck is going on? Montreal looked as confused in Bell Centre as the B's did last week. And why not Budaj? It may not make a difference if Lundquist stays in the zone, but the C's got to do something soon.

Here's an interesting graphic showing the best winning percentage over the last 40 years:

Now the Flyers are at the top of that list. Sad, sad thing is when you look at only since the salary cap went into effect, they drop to 15th!!!

But wait, Hextall to the rescue!?! Oh, no, LA is 20th since the cap era!

Half way home on the eastern side of my SCF prediction.

Ryan Miller is out there for anyone who wants a goalie. Apparently his on the job interview didn't impress. The Blues decided to sign Elliott instead.

Just a hunch, but I think the Habs are toast. So long as NY doesn't let Montreal skate around in the Rangers' end, they should finish this in NY. I think the B's will be fine next year, as is (so long as they stay healthy). Their defense will be more experienced and ready next season.

Do you need to be reminded about the Germans bombing Pearl Harbor?
