2013 Ampeg V-4B 100W Reissue Pt2

My gear last night... Happiness!!!

If not in this thread then another, a TBer stated he bought a black, vinyl, amp cover for a, IIRC, Fender Blues 212 guitar combo for his V4B. He folded it in half, inside of itself, he said it fits the V4B nicely.

I did the same thing and Yup, it works. Haven't taped, sewed or altered it as I planned to do to keep it folded as it stays that way already on its own. The cover is a nice, thick vinyl with handle opening at top for the V4B strap handle. And for only about $26 bucks. Searching for the store's name in my emails, will post it once I find it again.

That may have been my post you reffered to Ernie (from post number #1126 from this thread):

"I also wanted to share a product that I found a few weeks ago. I was shopping for a cover for my Ampeg GVT52-112 guitar amp and found that the dimensions for a Fender Blues Deluxe was the same - so I purchased a cheap ($18.00) cover designed for the Blues Deluxe. After I got the cover, I realized if I fold it in half (fold the lower half inward), the cover works great for the V4B reissue and now it is now double ply! It is a nice cheap cover (not padded) that will help keep the V4B lookin' sharp."

Hey thanks Bass 45. Antique Electronic Supply was the store's name I failed to recall. The cover is working great for my V4B. I always load/unload the amp myself from my auto to stage, so I'm always careful with my gear. It makes a great dust cover and may even keep small hits from scratching my V4B if that does happen. Peace, ernie

Just ordered a V4B. Demo model on eBay with full warranty for $899 shipped. They have one more...

I bought mine from the same place as a demo also. It wasn't as good of a deal as this one but it was still a good buy. I had no issues with the seller or with the amp.

Congrats!

P.S. Although I couldn't care less, I didn't get the Snark tuner that was supposed to come with it. [emoji2]

I play in a blues/rock bar band with the occasional theater. I primarily use passive fenders. I can get by indoors with the rig easily, going through the pa on bigger rooms. When I play bigger outdoor rigs i haul a 810.

Thanks! That's similar to my needs. I've been wondering if just one 212 would be loud enough for bars and similar size indoor gigs (including band practice....). Sounds like it gets it done for you. I have two guitars, drums, sax, and vox to blend with.

I will. I look forward to raving about it too.

For now, I'll be playing through a Berg NV610 and/or an NV115. Need to decide about getting an Ampeg 212AV or a second NV115.
My new V4B arrived last night. Played it a little at home with a Berg NV115. Sweet rig, but I'm not totally in love with it yet with the NV. Planning to gig the rig this weekend for a full test, but I may be adding an 212AV in the near future. Also, I'm vain about how stuff looks, which is an expensive problem.

Luckily the feet of the V4B fit perfectly around the NV115 so at least it sits on it well.
