Awesome that they're willing to do that!
Already have a late 70's V4B but I'm very excited for these to come out!

I don't want the video to be long, but we can crank the master and slowly bring the gain up and down to show the range
In a big enough cab, 100w is enough to get you canned from most respectable rock joints. I used one for 10 years into a flatback 810 and only ran out of clean headroom once when I was a kid trying to blow a 100 seat place out. And if you're an amp cranker, part of the attractiveness of 100w is put it into a small cab that can take it and you'll be loud but not so loud that you get your band fired.
Could you do with an 8X10 or 410he cab?
I think we all know more those cabs, It will help to better understand the V4B
thanks!!!
+1
I also ran a V4B/SVT810 combo for 10 years of club work. Did many gigs in medium sized rooms without requiring FOH help. Typical rock band setup including some drummers who were by no means "meek" in their playing intensity!
Sorry Ryan, I couldn't wait. I ordered it anywayI will have to see what's available. An 8x10 is probably what we will go with.

Here's a quick vid we did today to show off the grind. Master all the way up, slowly dialed up the gain. Cab used was a Heritage SVT-810E. Bass was a P Bass.
There's another video processing that has flat EQ and we slowly bring up the master and then the gain so you can get a sense of the breakup, though its hard to tell when not standing in front of the rig.
Thanks very much!
How loud was it, standing in front of it, with the gain at noon? That sound is about at the limit of what I would want in my tone. Is it loud enough for a moderate volume blues band, playing at a level where I just barely require ear plugs?
Cheers,
Liam
It was damn loud. A hungover, un-named colleague wanted to bolt out of the room. We got complaints from accounting.Poor guys just want to play with numbers and happen to work for Ampeg! I think it has the volume you are looking for...but I stress you gotta try to get in front of one when you can.
Bean counters complaining at an amp company about volume! Take me now lord.....
