When Victorino banged that one off the Green Monster, I pretty much knew it was a done deal.
But, St. Louis went on to surprise and disappoint with more little league play in the field. I'd never seen an MLB player survive a rundown after being picked off.

Colin Cowherd this morning was talking about how the question must be asked if Big Papi is juicing. I agree, it should be asked. 99% of guys don't have a career resurgence at 37 or 38. Cowherd was mentioning how his bat speed was incredible.
"Career resurgence"--meh. Compared to his career numbers, his stats this year aren't much above average, and they're not as good as his peak years.

He's been saying it all year.

Wow, those must be some defective drugs he is on. They only work SOMETIMES. He has been on a roller coaster this year. Some days it looks like he sees a beach ball being thrown at him (in other words he can't miss). And some days it seems as though the ball could BE a beach ball and he wouldn't be able to hit it.

The latest in drug technology. "Selective Enhancement" I guess that is so he a plausible deniability?

Gimme' a break.
