2014-2015 NHL Regular Season Thread

"Wow" as in when Chris Kreider rockets through center ice so fast that his wind spins Byfuglien around and follows the puck through the back of the net before Pavelic can even turn his head? That kind of "Wow"?

Boston flipped their season around and tightened their grip on a playoff spot with another win Tuesday. I was torn on that one as I was hoping Florida and Jagr could find their way into the playoffs.

Don't be torn Mike, it was like old times in the Garden, Lucic ripping one through Luongo's 5-hole. You want a totally unpredictable team in the SCP.
Boston flips pretty much period to period and sometimes shift to shift. Last night the 2nd period was a stinker, Rask let in a goal on a 2 on 1 that he usually gets, but they focused in the 3rd and won the game which is all that matters. The B's probably have another flop left in them, the question is will they flip back in time to sneak into the SCP.

And Rask is out with a migraine for the rest of the season, I read. Lulz.

Probably three games. Then again, the suspension committee has been QUITE inconsistent.

As for LA, welp....if they keep up this lackadaisical play, then they can kiss the playoffs good bye. Hey, as long as SJ doesn't make it either, right?

Yeah, the Shanabans have been coming in at seemingly random lengths. Or random fine amounts. I guess it'll remain to be seen. I'd be surprised if Burows didn't want it pushed through, especially this close to the playoffs.

I like that hockey players will shrug off almost any injury to get back on the ice. That said, I'm glad that Rask took himself out of the game when he started seeing double rather than be pulled for not stopping the next three shots. This was his quote “During the intermission I just started seeing dots, and then when I went out there I saw two No. 37’s taking the face-off so I was like ‘I should probably get out of here.’ It lasted about 25 minutes or so, I got my eyes checked and then I was good."

I also like that the 50 year old goalie coach suited up after Rask left - Bruins coach suits up as backup goalie | FOX Sports

Rask wasn't as sharp last night as he usually is - the 2 on 1 that mentioned before and the Panthers hit the pipes at least twice. The way the B's have played this season, they'll need some puck luck to make the playoffs.
