2021 Let's listen to full albums this year!

I'm dedicating the time to listen to a full album every day through 2021.

I miss the days of buying an album popping on headphones cranking the volume and losing myself for a bit. I also feel bad for artists these days as they put so much work into writing an entire album but only having a couple tracks listened to, if they're lucky.

So far I've listened to 19. Start to finish no skipping tracks. I'll post the albums throughout the year in here. Feel free to make suggestions or join in! don't forget to watch the thread!

I’m in, at least once.

Today I listened to 5 vinyl albums, both sides start to finish.

• Mountain Live - The Road Goes Ever On
• Alan Parsons Project - I Robot
• Some crazy promo compilation album, the only names I recognized were Ozzy Osbourne and Randy Meisner

When this pandemic thing made actual record shopping kinda hard I made TTL my online friend. I play usually 3-4 full albums most days. And not exclusively but probably 80% vinyl.

I'm old (-ish), and prefer listening to full albums, I'll rarely make a playlist of just individual songs.

One of my favorite albums lately is a concept album, Queen of the Murder Scene, by The Warning, which by its nature, lends itself to being listened to in its entirety.

Sounds like you need to check out Sleep Token's Sundowning. That's an proggy experience.

I get lazy and put on my Spotify daily mixes, but there's some bands that have to be listened to front to back. If you're into pop punk, Motion City Soundtrack has a lot of substance and I listen to their albums all the way through.

I realized that with the ability to listen to anything at any time I was not diving into recordings the way I used to so I am trying to listen to fewer things and really get into them.

The beauty of Apple Music is: I can listen to anything at anytime.

However, when I fall in love with an Album I don’t any to move on I just want to stay with it for a while.
