210's that handle 400W

B.S. covered everything I was going to contribute. I'm running 600w into my Low B2 and the thing sounds amazing.

Andy Lewis (the manufacturer) admits that the 350-watt nominal power rating listed on the Acme website (www.acmebass.com) is probably a minimum and that 500 watts may be more realistic....but, if you've got the clean power, I know of no other 2x10 (admittedly I haven't yet tried them all yet) that provides better clean, clear response across the frequency spectrum AND it delivers a low "B" that I find second to none.

+1 on the Acme! I m running it with 600w. Never been happier.

The Bergantino HS210 is rated for 400W, and it uses those watts efficiently -- in other words, it's a loud little cab.

+1 big time.

They are discontinued. Markbass made them for Ernie Ball, and they were also referred to as the 'Audiophile' line of cabs. Markbass also made an HD212 (another killer cab) and the HD500 (head) for EB MM.

Very well reasoned response, but no, that's not what I was getting at. If all you want is a conventional 2x10 reflex box that sounds good it's not that hard to get for about $250. Just buy a couple of Deltalite 2510s and download WinISD to tell you how big the box and port should be. That's basically what the big mfgs do...and mostly they use drivers that are not as good.

A simple box with holes in it is just not that hard to build. It blows me away what some people will pay for one, without having any real idea what's inside.
