250k pots vs 500k

How much of a difference will switching from 500k mini pots to 250k full size be?

The sound will be a little darker, but the pots will be much better quality an last longer if you're referring to stock squier ones.

If you like your current sound, 500k full size pots would be a good replacement.

Depends on the taper IME. I like having a 500k tone and a 250k volume on P's. Good volume range, and a brighter sound if I want it to be brighter.

What about a switch that brings in a resistor so you have 250/500?
