Coinkleydinkley, I also bought my first real bass in the summer of ‘87 and it was also a Yamaha (RBX800 in translucent red). I don’t have it anymore (traded it in on a Fender Aerodyne which I then traded in for my Fender American Deluxe J which I still have) and I doubt I’ll be finding the receipt as I bought it as a demo direct from the Yamaha sales rep.I started playing bass 34 years ago TODAY.
