By now I think we can all agree the OP’s error indicating the unit of measure, and there’s consensus about the right number being 1,072,965,326 +/- 1,036,800 depending where from Earth you may be reading this.

Now dear people, I think the right base number is 1,072,965,325. On September 15, 2015, scientists made the first detection of a signal from gravitational waves. The signal was the resulting ripple from a merger between two black holes that had collided 1.3 billion years ago. Beyond proving another of Einstein’s Relativity Theory’s corollaries, it also slowed down time, hence 1 second less.

If we are going to be picky, let’s be picky.

By which you mean if we’re showing figures, let’s have them be significant, and I concur.
