Checking out a DJ4 and that Rickenbacker again; both through a great Aguilar Tone Hammer rig. I am not looking at the DJ4, but it is a great sounding bass! I do not know if I will get a Rickenbacker 4003S/5, but it is an incredible bass. The sound is perfect Rickenbacker with extras.

You are correct. My mistake. Thanks for pointing that out. I did think it was just a super deal for a vintage bass and was wondering why no one scooped it up.
Today I turned the treble down three quarters and I was suddenly getting a slap sound like Marcus Miller circa 1980. Needless to say, that is the sound I want from a Seventies Fender Jazz.
My only issue is that the bass is so pretty, I don’t know if I can drill an extra hole or two in it for a Hipshot D-Tuner.Attachments
I think they purposely wrote it to be vague but just conclusive enough for a sale to stick.

That is a beautiful bass!! I’ll admit that there are some very nice upscale copies of jazz basses out there.
But even Marcus and Geddy stick with the real deal Fender. Modified to their liking of course . And yes Marcus has Sire but those 70’s Fenders are still his number one.
I know I am being greedy, but Sire V7 Vintage (Seventies position,) is still tempting!
The Fender Geddy Lee, The Pedulla, Fretless, The Peavey Fury, and Sire V7 -5 Vintage 2nd Gen really would cover all the basses.I know I am being greedy, but Sire V7 Vintage (Seventies position,) is still tempting!

You could move your current Sire and the Warwick and have it covered cost wise.

I'm going to blame you if anyone asks, but one of the online retailers had 2 "blemished" MIM models for super cheap so I relieved them of one... boring black color, but I'll learn to live with it, and learn to love a jazz bass.... eww... who would have thought....
