You cant beat an old Sunn 2x15. but that may be hard to find where you are.
Gotta disagree with that - IMO, Mesa's 215s are much better...

That raises another question. Won't the problem be more than
just a "Ka-bump"? Dragging the split-rail cab against a hard
corner (like a stage edge or tailgate) will result in that corner
scraping the cab covering (tolex, vinyl, rat fur, whatever)
between the rail gaps. Eventually, it will wear or tear.

I can say that even after a couple years of steady gigging, the back of my PH810 still looks like this:
[i.e., undamaged in photo]
I actually prefer moving a single large cab to moving two smaller ones.
Glad it's surviving well.
The fact that the rail gap is right at the level of the connections plate is even more intriguing -- suggesting intention of some kind... maybe?
[Edit: Never mind, I see it's only on that particular model.]
I think it comes down to taste.
Plus, it really depends which specific 2x15 model one is talking about. Both Mesa and Sunn have made more than one model of 2x15 cab.
Same here - I quit using multiple cabs atleast 5 years ago, and won't be going back... I'd much rather tilt and roll, and tilt and slide than deal with multiple trips and lifts with more than 1 cab...

My god its nearly torn to shreds.
Well, as I play one of those old Sunn cabs, we have a difference of opinion on how good they are.
Though, I daresay that the newer Mesa cabs are probably easier to move than a massive 2000S cab, so they do have the advantage of convenience.
Interestingly, I've never played a single thing from SWR, head, cab, combo, whatever, that I've liked.
One guy who keeps the thing in his living room between gigs might not be completely representative.
My god its nearly torn to shreds.
Nice photoshop - eventually, someone will claim that it's a real photo, though...
