Any decent condition OEM Sunn 200S with a pair of functional JBL D-140's can easily hit 120dB SPL with any decent 150-200 watt tube amp.

Nice photoshop - eventually, someone will claim that it's a real photo, though...
6 JBL K-140's driven by 2 Sunn Coliseums nets around 133 dB SPL.
Now how loud do we really need to play?
prolly sufficient I'd say!

Yep, sometimes you have to carry the room or it's outside.
At that time you need to DOMINATE. Now that I am older I try to consider stage volume, the mix and be a good team player.
Sometimes though a deaf loud guitarist just needs to be put in his place. That's where cone area and watts really matter. Make the rubble bounce. Punish him.![]()

Apologies to anyone offended. Mesa Boogie makes outstanding gear. In fact I used my guitarist's Mesa Mk II(4 x 6L6) atop one of my Sunn 200S Cabinets. Results as expected. Sounded Fantastic. So Sir Paul Obviously likes 'em too. No bashing by me. Still kinda want a Mesa Boogie Bassbuster in a head case. Dig the Bassist of HIM, another Finnish bassist using Mesa. No body is ever sorry they bought QUALITY gear, and Mesa certainly is Quality Gear IMHO. Would love to hear that M-180 into any of my cabinets.
Peace and Happiness to All
