3d Printed Rickenbacker 4003 Bass

Done. Mimicked infill ratio in accordance to weight of mohagany. Used copper filament for body and iron infused pla for pickguard. Prerouted pickup and output during modeling/ print design. Wired different than RIC. Put in bypass knob, 1 volume, 2 tones with 920 pots. Used J bass style neck with 14mm single coil bridge and heavy hum neck pickup. Did some laser engraving on headstock. Sounds great!

So after many gigs, recordings, battle of the band competition. The 3d printed RIC type bass has held its ground. Recently bid on a storage unit full of lumber and won for $40. Super stoked. Used the wood to make another RIC. Wired it traditionally. Also included a B500K Push pull pot. Used some cheap Aliexpress pickups to start with and 3d printed the pickguard and trussrod cover. Wanted the actual knobs so I purchased those. A lot of imperfections but very proud of sound and action. Played Rush's Moving Pictures album and Metallica's Master of Puppets all the way through, only effect used to play it was my overdrive pedal for a little boost. Sounds so close to an actual RIC. Really Stoked.
