That sounds more realistic but was shocked to see what one sold for on eBay recently. I'm well aware that what you ask for something and what it actually sells for can be much different so I looked at recent completed listings on eBay. Last one listed sold for $265!!! Right now looks like another one is on eBay for $285 and looks like same one on Reverb.com for a shocking $349. Wonder why it's listed for so much more on Reverb? Either way it helps me keep mine when I can show my wife how much it's gone up since I've owned it. "Keep it till it's worth $1000", she says. "OK but I'm gonna have to pull it off my board and put a SA Manta in its place to keep from putting wear on it." Darn it!

I absolutely love Reverb.com and have all but totally forgotten ebay since I found it. Only place I sell and first place I look for used gear online anymore. As a buyer I love the selection of cool, funky used and new gear offered there. As a seller I love how I am treated. Reasonable fees, no cost listing and the item stays up till it's sold. I have no affiliation with them other than being a happy user who wants to spread the word to others who may not know about them yet.
Just pick up a used proton or WL. I listened to the Manta and it was all bells and no whistle.
This video made me want to find a way to use an octave, but I just can't make it work with the covers we play. Alas, now I wait for the 3Leaf Overdrive, which I'm hoping he calls GOHZIRRA!!
CRAP! OK, so I already knew that eventually I would get one of these, but this vid makes me want one NOW!

I already have the Manta and like it a lot but the GR is going no where. Lots of good sounds in the Manta but there is definitely a learning curve where as the GR sounds good in any setting.
The ironic part is it just so happens I am in the market for a new octave and I think I now know which one.
Looks like today is Octabvre day for me! I will be comparing it to a Japanese OC2 and the octave portion of my IE SubT.
The Octavbre and Proton sound great together (as expected)! Can't wait to check out that combo with some You're Doom added to the mix!
While being "nice" as a clean Octaver, I still think that the SubT falls behind the OC-2 sound-wise. The OC-2 is just so much more focused imo (I can't really say that it makes that much of a difference in a live-mix though). Then again the SubT does so many other great things (which I've come to depend on) and there's really not enough space for another Octaver on my board. Dilemma.

Just grabbed it. More reflections on it after practice tomorrow, and obligatory pedalboard update pic. It sure is pretty. Bonus points for putting the power on top. (The benefits of a custom enclosure I suppose.) Sweet!
Just plugged in my Octabvre and I'm pleased to report that it does what it is supposed to do. OC-2 is retired after 20+ years.

If anybody is on the fence about the LBB, grab one now. Last night I was getting lost in the mix during warmup so I just boosted the gain until I came through FOH perfectly.
Agreed on the LBB. I really like it. And I ordered my Octabvre this morning...
