My quick take is that the large format 3Leaf filters have crept their way along the spectrum from Meatball > Mutron influences over time. i.e. GR > GR2 > WL1 > WLD > Chromatron. Part of it could be Zach's super clean and bell-like bass tone, but the Chromatron sounds crisper and more precise in the envelope response than any of the other filters. The GR, GR2, and WL1 had a lot of round, bubbly, syrupy Meatball sounds in them, and the WLD seemed to push harder into some quacky and snappy envelope sounds. It's definitely brighter than the v1 and had more edge to it. This seems to be a further push in that direction. Sounds great for synthy stuff, BTW...
