Thanks for the feedback. Sounds like a continued refinement in Spencer's lineage of filters. You know, I wasn't sure of the logo switch, but the more I see this pedal, the more I'm digging the new logo and overall design. Looks very clean. Like the new knobs as well. Less cluttered.

Envelope filter alone (which is pretty much all I'd use): Very good, IMO. I prefer wetter, but The Chromatron is still nice and juicy.

I'm very impressed with the sounds obtainable with the expression pedal. I'm not coordinated enough to make proper use of one, though.

If I needed all the features (expression pedal, switchable FX loop, etc.), I'd surely order one.

My quick take is that the large format 3Leaf filters have crept their way along the spectrum from Meatball > Mutron influences over time. i.e. GR > GR2 > WL1 > WLD > Chromatron. Part of it could be Zach's super clean and bell-like bass tone, but the Chromatron sounds crisper and more precise in the envelope response than any of the other filters. The GR, GR2, and WL1 had a lot of round, bubbly, syrupy Meatball sounds in them, and the WLD seemed to push harder into some quacky and snappy envelope sounds. It's definitely brighter than the v1 and had more edge to it. This seems to be a further push in that direction. Sounds great for synthy stuff, BTW...

I always wished my old GR had something like that FX Loop switch. Can't wait to put this on my board. It does sound A little thinner than my GR. Maybe that'll be enough to talk myself into running both...

If there was a slow sweeping synth in the loop of the Chroma, like a Digitech BSW or EHX BMS,
and if you used an expression pedal with the Chroma, could you nail City of Delusion? Does this work that way?

That is a good question. The only way I could get close to the filter sweep in that song was from the iron ether xerograph. And I've been looking for an alternative since.

I was using a you're doom, proton and a bdpg. Then obviously the xerograph.
