Thanks. I like my envelope settings to be really noticeable, but also pretty fast and short so they get out of the way quickly. I don’t get much use from the Bootsy thing in my own playing, though I do dig hearing other guys using it.
I’m feeling very justified in using the smug emoji at this point.
EDIT: Just a quick update on things. Below is an image of where I’ve landed with things on the Chromatron. I love it set like this. Super pronounced envelope sound, but not overly resonant which makes it useful on a lot of different material. Definitely my favorite of the four different filters of Spencer’s that I’ve owned. My WLD is headed for the classifieds, and the Chromatron is headed for Velcro and a permanent seat on my board.

Additional edit: The filter peaks on the Chromatron are WAY more controlled than the WLD. You still get some exaggeration, but it’s nowhere near as peaky as the WLD, which makes it more useful for “normal” playing. I could see guys wanting that more exaggerated peaks thing preferring the WLD, but for me it’s Chromatron all day.
