Pike is a separate bass-specific company, so that doesn’t really apply..
These statements seem contradictory, if Spencer wasn't try to market to bassists, Pike wouldn't exist.
The Octabvre is a combination of an OC-2 and a Mutron Octave Divider, neither of which are bass-specific, so the point still stands. I know of at least one guitar player using an Octabvre Mini, and one keyboard player using a Tim-tuned Octabvre.
No they're not bass specific, I'm not sure about the Mutron, but the OC-2 is commonly used with bass, and the Octabvre was developed for a bassist.
Guitarists use bass pedals, and bassists use guitar pedals. This isn't anything new and it's been this way almost as long as there's been pedals.
If he's not trying to market to bassists he sure has a funny way of showing it.
