I've lost no letters since putting a coat of clear nail polish on my doom and octavbre. The loose letters I discovered during the process are now firmly in place. Highly recommended.

Thanks for reminding me, I remember reading your posts about it and it’s good to know it’s held up. I’ve just revisited your posts and I’ve just practised doing it on my Proton v4 in preparation for doing it on my Octabvre and the Doom 2. I may give it a few days to set though and see how it looks on the Proton. I’ve already had one nightmare with a pedal recently; I took a huge chunk of paint off of the back of a Triungulo Barbanera yesterday. It was such a nice finish too!

Or maybe I won’t. It’s not the cleanest job but I’ll be thrilled if it keeps the letters on for longer. It’s always helpful to know what the switches and knobs do.

If the polish ultimately pulls the letters off I suppose I could think of it as something akin to the Darkglass B7K 10th anniversary edition with the labels removed, or a 3Leaf Mystery.

Yes. My last Chroma had missing parts of letters.

Oh wow! I’ll keep the paint out! I didn’t know that the Chromatron was potentially affected too.

It's definitely not as bad as the Mk3 and D2 though. Those enclosures are oily to the touch.

I had a mint brand new one I put up for sale a few years ago and I thought I was going to have to give it away. No body wanted it. lol how things change.

It’s a cool pedal but it always seemed to get lost in the mix for me.

I think this’ll be another with a 10% discount within 48 hours. When it hits 58.5k it’ll be gone in a flash.

It slightly irks me that the one on Reverb with an O and part of the M has still retained the L I’m now missing.

On a totally different note, is there any form of consensus about the best 3Leaf pedal made or am I about to start a flame war and get the thread banned by asking this? I’m a big fan of the Enabler, even though it’s aimed at something very different from those currently on the 3Leaf website.

Best 3Leaf pedal made? I mean the filters are great, but there are other great filters in the same class — Xerograph Deluxe, Microtron, Joshwah, Barbanera, 00Funk, etc. The fuzzes have been great, but there are other great fuzzes, albeit most are voiced differently.

To me the Octabvre is the iconic 3Leaf pedal. Yes there are others, but for a small format octave down with some tonal variation on tap, it just works.
