I have a Wl with a DVP3. You should be able to adjust the DVP3, at least I remember doing it. I don't have the pedal in front of me right now. The range still really isn't that great.

Just looked. Mine is actually a DVP5. The mini version. Sorry about that.
Anyone have any experience with brush-on or spray varnish on the newer enclosures? I'm thinking about using some on a new D2 I got as the print is all intact and I plan on heavily using this pedal. Granted losing any print isn’t that big of a deal to me but thought I might as well try to experiment. I’m just not sure on how the enclosures were finished and what exact material was used on the metal. I saw that @cosmicevan used nail polish to good use.

I built a BYOC "Divided Octave" (of which you can probably guess what is a clone of) and used it for years before I got my Octabvre. They really are very close in terms of functionality. The Divided Octave has a green ringer-like octave up switch that is kind of fun, whereas the Octabvre has the Tim tuning. I do like the separate volume controls for clean and octave on the Octabvre vs the one blend on the Divided Octave, but like I said - functionally they are quite similar.

Ok after a bit of searching I’m in the 3Leaf club. Scored a proton and Octabvre here on the classifieds last week. They will debut on my board tomorrow night. So stoked.
I too have wondered if something like this would work but I have an older Doom 2 that has the oil reactive steel enclosure & dont want to mess with it... all the lettering is still intact so Im wondering if its just the more recent ones that appear to be painted black that are having issues with the print coming off?
I hit mine with a super strong hold hairspray. Didn't have to prep the metal as you would with a clear spray, prepping would probably cause more damage than preventing it in the first place. Just make sure it's not tacky afterwords

Some builders have a PCB etched as a faceplate. It's super cool.
Maybe your local library or maker-space has a laser cutter. If so, you could draw something up and have it laser etched onto any number of materials.
Or just have the holes for the pots, switches, and LED cut out of a piece of thin acrylic that gets held in place by the same nuts/washers holding the pots/switches in place. You could probably even do that by hand.
Yeah, I know some like the hand painted look of IE pedals, but I really like the new PCB boards, especially the FMeron and Arcing Prisms, the new XD is nice but I like the blue/gold. I think the Fenris Fuzz I had was an old copper PCB as well. I'd like to think of it as people using what they can get during this mess of parts shortage.

I do have some thin acrylic, I like the colors too much on the mk3 to make it wood.
I really want to see what this new ghost finish is about, ever since the Chromatron I figured there was more cool pedals to come.
Etched faceplates are just cooler than paint/printing IMO. What would be really cool is a combination: some paint and printing with a clear etched faceplate on top.
Love the Mini, I ended up selling my mkiii because the Mini just sounded so much better.
