Erratic switching behaviour on Octabvre MKIII? Wait, is this for the previous run or for the upcoming run with the ghost finish? Technical update says "first production run". Does that mean first ghost finish production run or the first MKIII production run?

I would say 99.999999999% first MKIII production run since nobody has the ghost yet.

A few units from the first production run have exhibited occasional erratic switching behavior. The cause is free play in the footswitch PCB mounting holes which creates the possibility of the switches shorting out on the PCB mounting tab. The fix is to put a piece of tape over the mounting tab which prevents the possibilty of a short."
So is the High Gain mod switchable but just preset internally?

That is encouraging to hear that he is hoping to make pedals more available with him controlling the flow of things. Just curious, how does Iron Ether's octave and fuzz pedals compare to Spencers?

He IS the distributor, as the pedal may travel locally to come together, 3leaf is where it leaves, I'm sure Canada is fine.
I would presume there isn't a switch, I'm still wondering how you even state you want the high gain.
I can only compare octaves, and envelopes, in which I like much better than IE pedals, but I still have a place for the IE XD, and FMeron (which 3leaf doesn't have a like pedal) I find the 3leaf octaves and envelopes much easier to dial in, more features, and the advantage of analog helps with many factors

I had the Octabvre Mk3 which I liked, but didnt have as much use for so I sold it to a nice chap here on the forum. I am curious about the Doom 2, but I blew my pedal budget for the month, so alas.
I for one welcome the change because its memorial day weekend, this is going to cut down on some site traffic most people will be busy IRL to remember this onsale
I cannot believe how good the Chromatron is. I loved my Wonderlove's loop when I had it, but the filter occasionally had some weird closing action and it was voiced a little high to my ears. This is perfect. The loop and f/x switch are great. I knew the octave and fuzz would sound good in a loop from my experiences with the Wonderlove, but I forgot how much better a little overdrive melds into the filter when it's in a loop.
The Xerograph Deluxe this replaces is an awesome pedal, and if I were playing more synth-based, experimental stuff, especially with the expression pedal, it'd probably be my first choice. But this thing is flexible, too, and as a funky filter, I think it's going to work better. And it's not as touchy as the XD, which is better for my current needs. Wow.

Nah, buying gear on credit when I'm not using that gear to earn money is a bad idea.
I know exactly what you mean with the closing action. The wonderlove 2 has the propensity to sort of 're-trigger' the envelope as it's closing and "bubble" creating a percolating filter. It's actually really cool if you want that, but can be frustrating if that's not what you're after. I also do think the tone knob is mostly useless for 3/4 of it, it doesn't have as useful of a range as the chromatron.
I ended up keeping both but currently use the chromatron for the more "stable" filter action but honestly kind of prefer the tone of the wonderlove 2s filter.

If I hadn't gotten the Chromatron literally 2 days ago I would be all over this. But I did, so I'll pass it on. Best price I've seen on a GR2 since I started paying attention: [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]
