3Leaf Audio Club - Episode 2

If any of you are having problems seeing the new website updates, try deleting your cache and cookies in your browser. That should help.

While I would love to get a Doom2, I think I will wait till Spencer becomes more consistent with his business practices before I support again.

Protons are now $300 new.

My Proton V2 is still one of my all-time favorite envelope filters for getting exactly the filter sound in my head, and didn't get a V3 because "if it ain't broke..." The V4 is another 3Leaf I regret not checking out, but at $300 I'll have to think about it. The Auto Filter in the Stomp is really good and doesn't take up additional pedalboard space...

And the Proton doesnt even have a new finish.

From the Proton page:
"A new batch of Protons featuring the new GHOST finish will be released later this summer."

5sg.

i really hope this isnt like getting phish tickets (read: impossible and crashing site)...im locked and loaded for an octabvre

Sadly with pedals the closest thing you can do to keeping things face value ala Cash or Trade is to make friends. Getting pedalz is way easier than phish tickets at onsale time, but way harder in 2ndary markets.

Glad to see he is bringing back most of the designs. Hopefully this will deflate the scalpers a bit. Would love to see some revisits of even older designs.
Everyone knows there will be Ghost pedals on Reverb with a $200 mark-up a week or two after the preorders. Spencer doesn't crank them out fast enough to fight the scalped prices. So... Everyone here needs to buy when in stock!

You are right. It's tempting to buy one of these new ones to try to trade for some older designs - I'd love to swap for a Doom 1. It's like the only way to beat the flippers. Kinda sucks...but new stuff coming from 3Leaf is very promising

Despite the updated page for the Chromatron, it does say that it's now currently out of production although it may return in the future. Looks like he took out the part that said he was looking for a source for enclosures, so I'm not really sure what to make of that.

The price changed, well updated as well. Any movement on the Chromatron tab is good

Price went up on Proton as well - this is attached too,

"A new batch of Protons featuring the new GHOST finish will be released later this summer."

I don't remember the proton having printing issues, but I guess he changed all the enclosures

Very glad to see he’s still making things. He made four of my all time favorite pedals. I really hope he does some new new stuff now that everything is limited edition.

I'm wondering if his meaning of "limited edition" has more to do with different finishes rather than actual circuits, e.g., all the variants (<100 in each color) of Octabvre Mini.

I honestly think he got stuck with obligations, and then the returns due to the screenprint issue, then no control over how his dealers were handling sales/returns/pricing.

I want to read that like, don't get bent out of shape if things change in a month. This could help with fine print down the road if he starts selling to dealers again (assuming he's stopped) But it flat out includes "circuit modifications"
