A buddy of mine was over at my place and checking out my gear. The Enabler blew him away...he ordered one within an hour of getting back to his house. Only catch is that his wife won't let him hang out with me any more because his G.A.S. is becoming expensive.

+1, I've never gotten a fuzz to work for me live (only tried two, admittedly) but this one is one that I think I'll need to try. Sounds great in that video. Particularly with the filter.
I've been looking for something synthy lately as well. Out of curiosity Spencer... Could the You're Doom do the synthy bass line intro to Chaka Khan's Ain't Nobody (or how close could it get)? Your first vid makes it sound like it could get pretty similar. If so, that's the final nail in the coffin... I'd be sold.
I personally wouldn't use the TRS, but a Proton sized EQ would be VERY interesting/tempting.

You could get the tone really close - the response would be tougher since a keyboard bass has such an immediacy and punch to each note. Perhaps with the right compressor after it....
I do have a PWNZOR...........
I've come to terms with the fact that the only true way to get the keyboard synth bass sound is to get a keyboard, but I'm still pretty well sold on at least giving the You're Doom a try. Seems like just the right twist on a fuzz pedal for my needs/taste.

Hey Spencer, in general, do you typically want to put the compressor before or after the fuzz? What if you are using a wonderlove with the effects loop?

It depends on what sound and response you want.
With a compressor before You're Doom, it will flatten the dynamic input range and the output will be a uniform fuzz envelope.
With a compressor after You're Doom, you will still get the natural attack and decay characteristics of the Doom but the output will be a more uniform amplitude.
I can see both combinations having very good results depending on the desired response.
You're Doom works great in the loop of the Wonderlove, although since it preserves your dynamic range it can actually be used before the Wonderlove as well. I'd probably still put it in the loop on my own board, but you have options here.

I've come real close to adding the Mission EP-1 but I'm not sure it'd be much different where I could justify the cost to make a difference in performance

It was different for each one I built. I would set it at the middle position and adjust it from there.

I had mine set perfectly yesterday, but my mood has swung a little since then.... my release is set at 9'oclock when looking at the pedal standing up. I haven't quite locked in my taste of the day, but I like a quick release and fairly quick attack, with a low ratio. Gives me a super quick punch right before the sustain holds it forever. I've really been turning the knobs today, trying to lock in what I want with it.
I play a lot of staccato/quickly-muted notes, and turning the PWNZOR off is like changing basses now. Can't wait to see how much punch I can dial in when I finally get a Quantum in front of it....
