Morningstar has their ml10x, it requires TRS>TS cables for mono i/o connections like most of your pedals use, but it's more affordable than others. I use a Soundsculpture switchblade 8F, its more money, but has buffers for every port, which translates to never having problems with levels, this helps when having so many different brand effects. I haven't even gotten a midi controller, I create what I want and flash the switcher via PC - real easy. There's not many matrix based ones out there, most have loops, but you can't re-order the loops, they're fixed in a series path.

This is my current play ground, the switcher is mounted underneath, it's about the size of 2 1/2 chromatrons side-by-side. There's eight separate loops here, you can see the switcher besides the anadime.

Even if you only used 7 or 8 pedals, you could really use them to their full potential

wow that is a killer board sir! full of good stuff and rarities too. thank you for sharing alot of great information sir. ill be lloking into a morningstar in the future. i have just splurged on gear buying but i have the morningstarvin my future list. Cheers!

I am rewiring my board for the first time in a long while and adding some of my old favorites back on - I love my Octavbre Mini but I could use the big version to switch between the sub and blended sounds. Went to lookup prices on TB and Reverb and WOW!

I feel like I blinked and all of a sudden a bunch of these older 3Leaf pedals' prices went through the roof! Do we know the cause of the prices doubling and sometimes tripling?

Not sure if I'm willing to pay $500 for the Octavbre MkII , are there any similar pedals out there?

The lesson here is that I'll NEVER sell my other 3Leaf pedals ;)

That's a great question @stambroker! I've never stopped to think through how this craziness started. I guess it was the fear of him closing shop, at one point, that started the snowball.

i agree sir! its hard to let go of 3leaf audio pedals i have two wonderloves and i wouldve not sold the other if i didnt had a second one. such a great envelpe filter it is and im hoping to look fpr some setting suggestions no genre in particular sir. just fun tone exploring with the wonderlove. That's always the question with these marketplaces. I for one had two PWNZORs and sold one of them a couple of years when noone really cared about them, because I thought it was redundant to have two. Sort of regretting that now, if only because a good friend of mine would really like to have one now.

It's really nothing complicated. It's just supply and demand.

I struggled to unload my 3 Leaf You're Doom years back for $99. Took me months before someone bit. Now, that same pedal is suddenly worth $400 because a bunch of people keep buying/selling them for that much. It's the same pedal - market's different. People changed the market once and they'll do it again when something else gets hyped enough.

I really wasn't following pedals very closely until about 2019 or so, and even then it took a little while for 3Leaf to fully come onto my radar, but that's fascinating that there wasn't much interest in a You're Doom at <$100 back then. I feel like for some reason the Doom 2 generated a lot more interest. Maybe that's just because there was more YouTube reviews of it?

Yeah I came around when the GR2 was ending its run, you couldn't give those away, nor could you sell the wonderlove dlx for how much the msrp was, at least. There was such a tease on what the mk3 octave would be too, "would it have up octave..", then the Mk2 went for about 200.. Hopefully he's been making pedals all this time and will release 200 or so of each all at once, just to trash all these scalpers. I'm afraid he needs to do that, and hopefully come out with something new, or even bring back the dang PWNZOR - amazing compressor/tone enhancer. I'd hate for this brand to become something that once was (then the actual high prices will begin..)

The palm muted low gain magic of the You’re DOOM and “you’re” section of the DOOM 2 is the real magic of the pedal/series IMO. The DOOM is a great low end retaining fuzz in its own right, but the special sauce that makes it worth the extra hype is all in the “you’re”’s synthy greatness.

I have 1 of each and while I should list the You’re FS/FT, as it’s redundant, I haven’t pulled the trigger on doing so yet. Maybe it’s sentimental?

I had both for a short time & ended up parting with the og doom... wish Id held on to it though, they we ridiculous when stacked

I have a You're Doom and an Octabvre Mini that haven't been on my board recently because my gig doesn't call for them, but it's hard to think of parting with them because they are for me best-in-class effects. I've played filters I like as much as 3Leaf filters — although the Chromatron has the best feature set of any analog pedal ever — but the fuzz and octave are a cut above.
