Alright folks, you raised my curiosity level high enough to pull the trigger on the PWNZOR that was sitting on the 'Verb for four days.

So, it was you!
I saw the pwnzor for sale and asked about it here at talkbass, before buying it. Talked to the seller about his bottom price and shipping to the united states. And as soon as I cashed my paycheck on friday I went straight to reverb to find out it was sold a few hours before.
I guess it was not for me. Maybe next time.

I believe the Proton is based on the mu-tron

The Wonderlove is inspired by the music of Stevie Wonder, 'Wonder' -Love, & Stevie Wonder used a m-tron so safe to assume the Wonderlove is a take on the muTron w/ an expanded set of controls to dial in a wider range of envelope sounds.

The Groove Regulator was based on the Meatball but streamlined to make it easier to dial in. The Meatball has an extremely wide range & not all of the sounds it produces are considered useable so Spencer simplified it down to what he believed to be the most useful.

The Chromatron is also a take on the MuTron I believe but more of an original take on it than Spencer's previous filter offerings.

You don't have to like it, but based on what they've been selling for the last year or two this is a better price than what you'll typically find on the used market. Agreed that it sucks. But it is what it is...

I paid NZ$125

There are presently 2 on Reverb at approximately $640NZ

That is certainly a price hike.

I paid $400 for my octabvre mk2, $220 for my pike vulcan XL and $500 for my mesa wd800.
We don't see those prices anymore
