Also declined. lol Only reply: "No thanks" I think John may be getting a little annoyed with the offers. lol It's okay, I was actually hoping I didn't get it as there's plenty of other stuff on my list above a high gain Doom 2, but my curiosity got the better of me. I also wonder if the seller is aware of this thread.

A pike in the verb, I think price is a little high, but somebody might be interested. I paid much less for mine, but it took me a couple of years of waiting.
I don't know what kind of offers he's getting because I logged in a few days ago, saw his ridiculous 5K Doom and went to the next row on Reverb and saw this one. I did a double take, saw it was the new one, it had been listed for an hour with 27 views and 1 watcher. I immediately jumped on it. Yeah, I would have liked to have gotten it when I tried at the initial offering, but I thought $525 was a bargain based on recent 3 Leaf secondary sales. I would have thought that some of the offers on the 5k Doom would have exceeded this price and someone would have snapped it up. The $5k is not getting annoyed by the offers, listing it at that is asking for ppl to make silly offers. Seller could also set it to not be contacted w offers below a certain threshold. Seller is jus trolling like everyone offering small offers.
The Basschat one is mine. I didn’t post it on TB because I assumed the cost of getting back to the US would be prohibitive for anyone interested.
For those that didn’t see it, the convoluted background is I picked one up at a decent price for another Basschat member but we didn’t complete the sale (which was intended to be at cost). Rather than lose out trying to do a good deed, I listed it on Basschat at the cost of importing it. However, while the initial price was a good one, the 26% whacked on in import VAT and customs duties meant that the cost to me was pretty massive. Technically there shouldn’t be import duties back to the US but, with postage, it would have been just north of $700. There are usually better deals to be had than that in the US so it didn’t seem worth putting on TB.
I felt uncomfortable even asking for cost at what is a good price in the UK, so I decided to just live with the expensive folly of importing it, opted to keep it, withdrew the listing, and I’m going to get it refinished.
