3Leaf Audio Club - Episode 2

Cmon guys, post more pics of your new pedals instead of the boxes. :woot:
Okay, pedal photos. The new finishes are something else. Not pictured, one more 3 Leaf pedal that’s being refinished and some Pike Amplification pedals (and my Anima Preamp modules).

Apologies in advance for the more egregious shots.

One of the ghost Doom 2s is a high gain modded unit (obtained from a fellow TBer). The Chromatrons came from classifieds, one Octabvre is from Reverb and everything else is direct from 3 Leaf.

WUUUTTT???

Is that a Dirge rehoused Chromatron or does it just look like his style?!?

That is awesome!

Thanks! Yeah, it’s a Dirge rehoused version. Well, same housing but he graciously refinished it for me in his style but in the 3 Leaf colours. He did a really fantastic job. Spencer was very kind too in providing design schematics.

I’m having another pedal refinished by someone else and I’ll post that when it comes back too.

Thanks for the kind comments, all (and @mouthmw on the Instagram front too). As you can tell, I’ve been obsessed with Spencer’s pedals and the Vulcan remains one of my favourite ever overdrives. I won’t even speculate as to the sleep deprivation that has gone with the F5ing although it paid off on one of the surprise post-pandemic drops (I think December 2021?)?

Haha, thanks. I have a spreadsheet so I can give you the number when I get home. I’ve just sold quite a few though including my Enabler, Broughton Messenger DI, both Bassrigs and an SGT-DI. I’ve hoarded pedals for too long but I’ve started to move some on.

I immediately fell in love with that and reached out to Evan to see if he was open to more commissions and he wasn’t because of the complexity in putting it back together.

Agreed that pedal is simply stunning!
Oh wow! That’s interesting! I’m even more grateful to him for having done that now. I didn’t realise it had been so complex. I’d recommend the Slowly Melting to everyone too. It’s utterly mad and I’m not sure exactly what it should be used for but it’s a lot of fun and a work of pedal art.

He told me he almost couldn’t put it back together and that one of the knob set screws got stuck and took him a half hour to get it correct. I neglected to realize he needed to take it apart to make it beautiful

Actually, thinking about it, he did mention he was having trouble with that. He said he’d gone through 25 hex wrenches to no avail. It wasn’t intended to be that labour intensive. He was extremely nice throughout though and did a truly brilliant job. I’m a big fan of pedals but that one’s a special one.

There’s an excellent podcast, the No Gods! No Master Volumes! podcast, where he’s interviewed and it’s worth listening to.
