3Leaf Audio Club - Episode 2

Out of curiosity, does anyone know where to source knobs similar to whats on the Doom 2?

I have a number of pedals with small black, Klon-like knobs, one being an Origins Cali and on dark stages they are impossible to read.

@kranahan I feel like you frequently swap things around on your pedals. Reccs welcome!
The 3L shop used to have knobs for sale for $5. Maybe an email to Spencer could net you some.

Save some doom2s for the rest of us! Geez!
Sorry. I’ve only bought one at a time if that helps? It’s my favourite pedal and the one that really made me want to dig into boutique pedals, and in so doing I’ve met some amazing people on here, Basschat UK and pedal builders too. It has a lot to answer for.

What are your favorite finishes so far ?
I think they’ve been getting better and better. The black ones were sleek, the ghost were totally different to anything else I’d had (I know some people weren’t totally happy with theirs but mine all turned out to have great patterns - it’s a bit like getting a bass with good graining), and I think the new ones are probably the best owing to the colour combinations and the sleek metalwork.

wow

and I thought your recent sale threads on basschat had some nice thing in !!
Thanks! I’ve got the same thread in the International Classifieds too but I should update it soon as I’ll have a few more (non-3 Leaf) pedals in the next month or so.

Aluminum, Knurled, 1/2" Diameter

The one on the left of the three color options (black, diamond knurl) is very close & cheaper than the custom ones sold on 3leaf site

Check out stompbox parts and love my switches. They have some nice aluminum in that style.

I love the new steel enclosures, but to me, the ghost finish is his most unique and beautiful finish. I am biased though, not gonna lie.

Yes, he's always had all outer components for sale, pots, switches, knobs (current). This newjack way of displaying the shop hides it, but last I checked there was quite a bit left. Unless he stole them for production, that's not completely out of the question.

I have a set of Doom 2 knobs I could sell you. I am trying out a new ordering system. It's called: you buy my car. Did you know I sell the best used cars on the market? It's called the 2006 Saturn Aura and I'm bundling it with these knobs in order to make sure everybody has a fair chance at getting them...

Yeah, but what color is your aura?

To continue the matching tissue color conversation:

I've just realized that Spencer is also changing the ink color used to print the image of the pedal in the user manuals to (roughly) match the color of each batch. At least, my Proton has a dark blue (not quite indigo, but close) and gold ink and today I saw a manual for the Blood Red Doom 2 which has Red ink. I took a picture (below). Can any Miami Octabvre MKIII owners confirm the pedal image in the user manual features seafoam-colored ink?

This level of detail is wild. In a good way. I mean, it's utterly unnecessary. Absurd even. And yet it's something I would do so I very much appreciate it lol. The whole tied preamps was messed up, but Spencer has the details of presentation down.
