3Leaf Audio Club - Episode 2

Y'all seen this on reverb? New Doom 2 bloodred for the low, low price of $7,057 CAD ($5,230 USD). But it's a "Decent pedal for the money". Hate to see how much I would have to pay for an "incredible pedal for the money".

Are these people trolls, or are they literally psychopaths?

So silly. Also (obviously) more than little misleading to say that "only 100 exist."

I've read that it's a strategy. List for a stupidly high price, just to see how high people will go with offers. Basically just using Reverb as an unlimited auction.

Oh yes, we've seen it. This thread is responsible for a number of those offers
I sent an offer with a note. It seems like he might have a sense of humor.

29 offers so far. Oh my.

30 offers, we all should send an offer. If you see the pedals he have, you'll see why he values his 3leaf so muchView attachment 5117381

FYI he won’t take $350, or $350.99.

"decent pedal for the money" bahahaha

I think with that, they are admitting they are aware they are a dirtbag

Good to know. I think I could stretch to $351, so I'll give that a shot.

Submitted a $355 offer.

Edit: Declined

Guys! I think I know his number

I just submitted $360. I'm feeling good about $61 over list lol

Edit: Declined.

I threw up in my mouth a little bit for actually making an offer, but I was #36 for $375... Also declined. lol Only reply: "No thanks" I think John may be getting a little annoyed with the offers. lol It's okay, I was actually hoping I didn't get it as there's plenty of other stuff on my list above a high gain Doom 2, but my curiosity got the better of me. I also wonder if the seller is aware of this thread. ;) lol

Well it arrived. Great octave, love being able to go sub only with a foot switch. Can really get some good synth sounds with the tone and Tim switch.

Anyone want an Anima preamp? Lol. Though maybe I’ll make a pedal out of it, could be fun to try it out on different basses.

Y’all are surprised that hard to get, status symbol pedals are high priced on the secondary market? Or it’s more that you are annoyed that you are priced out?
You're missing the subtext. They're mocking the fact that the first of the tied preamps is already up for resale, and that the seller is attempting to list an item which few (no one?) wanted and which approximately 49 other people are also about to try to resell for more than its retail price.

Also it's not a pedal. It's an on-board preamp.

I don't know how much is a new anima, but there's one for sale in the verb.

It's not something I need...especially for something that was an afterthought bundled with a prized octave pedal. I'm sure everyone would have bought the pedal even without the forced preamp for $555.

I'm certainly interested though, but I'll wait until there are 50 more on the used market and the price comes down a bit...

I wonder if Spencer is hoping for a wildfire to start in the used marketplace over his preamps like there is for his pedals. Also, I've never understood why he keeps opening and closing his store front between drops...? Even if there is no stock, just having a reference of MSRP is helpful. It's just weird. So, for the sake of posterity and those wondering if the Anima really was selling for ~$340, like this Reverb seller (price as of June 2023):
